Whether teaching a teen mom about her baby’s growth and development, sitting with a family grappling with end-stage cancer, or helping someone to their feet after open-heart surgery, my 15 years of work as a nurse taught me something important: I love being present with people and creating a safe space. In recent years, I have heard God’s call toward spiritual direction, a more focused expression of my calling to attuned listening. 

In addition to a BS in Nursing from Washington State University, I have an MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary.  I have completed Soul Formation’s Academy of Spiritual Formation and School of Spiritual Direction.  I am also a part of the Soul Formation Community of Spiritual Directors and the Christ-Centered Spiritual Direction Assocation.

In my free time, you can find me and my family hiking, camping, or spending time with friends over delicious food. My favorite place to be is walking beside a creek near my house under a canopy of cedar and fir trees. I’ve lived in the northwest my whole life; I never tire of its beautiful terrain. I love to read, have dabbled in creative writing, and have years of experience facilitating meaningful conversations in church and parachurch ministries.
